Overdose Aid Kits
The Program
Overdose Aid Kits, or OAK boxes, are first-aid kits for overdose situations. Supplies are available to use in an emergency or to keep on hand for future use. They contain naloxone (Narcan), rescue breathing masks, fentanyl test strips, instructions on how to use Narcan, and other information and resources for those impacted by the opioid epidemic.
We partner with many locations across Dane County to make OAK Boxes, naloxone, and fentanyl test strips available free of charge. Our goal is to have the naloxone in each OAK available for anyone to take, no questions asked.
