multiple resources to help you live a life of recovery
learn to live in recovery
Safe Communities has compiled multiple resource directories for those in each step of recovery.
Recovery is a long process and looks different for every person. Safe Communities has made an extensive list for the three major steps in recovery, community based recovery houses, employment resources, and post recovery housing.
Safe Communities is not a counseling or crisis center. If you or someone you know is having suicidal thoughts, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 988.

Dane County Recovery Housing Coalition
The Safe Communities Dane County Recovery Housing Coalition is a reconvened group that started in 2024, bringing together recovery housing providers to share ideas, support one another, and discuss key topics in the field. We meet quarterly to talk about funding opportunities, challenges, best practices, and ways to improve the support we offer to people in recovery. Currently, providers regularly participate, working together to strengthen recovery housing in our community by sharing resources and ensuring our homes remain safe, stable places for those on their recovery journey.
